In class we talked about film adaptations of books. One film adaptation I have seen is My Sister's Keeper. I read the novel My Sister's Keeper and loved it. It is such an inspiring book. When I found out they were making the novel into a film I was ecstatic. I went to go see the movie in the theaters and I was more than dissapointed. Characters' personalities were changed. Scenes were changed. The ending was even changed. The only thing I am happy about is that I read the book before seeing the movie. I would recommend the novel My Sister's Keeper to anyone and I would recommend the movie to anyone who wants to waste two hours of their life.

I absolutely agree with you carly. I was so unbelievably dissapointed when I saw the movie and they completley butchered the ending compared to the books ending. If you liked the movie you will LOVE the book.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read the book, but I have seen the movie. We had watched it in class for mystery and suspense. I had thought the movie in general wasn't very good, but my class, those who had read the book, went crazy with rage. They were all very annoyed because it changed so many important aspects of the book. Unfortunetly, I wasn't as lucky as you by reading the book before seeing the terrible film. I wish I had gotten your warning before wasting two hours of my life!
